March 2006 | Chalone 2005 Pinot Noir
Chalone, it's been too long since our last meeting. Opened you while dancing in my new panties and curling my hair. And shared you with Yuri before an amazing dinner at Ana Mandara. Paired you with chocolates, strawberries, and whipped cream. You never fail to please. Drank you over the course of a week - and even Liu Cheng to a share. Till we meet again!
November 2010 | Korbel Sec
The Korbel tasting room is likely one of the cheesiest tasting rooms I've ever been to. Somehow I thought it'd be a great idea to buy 10 bottles of bubbly. The best one of the lot is this sweeter "sec"... which I saved for a special night with Adam. By "special" I mean getting totally wasted and dancing the night away at 330 Ritch!
May 2009 | Schroeder Familia 2004
A special bottle of vino brought by fu after his adventures in Argentina. We shared this wine over our last (...in a while...) dinner together in SF. It was a special - and sad - evening as we recalled our memories together, laughed and cried, and of course - enjoyed the dinner we cooked. In our last days together we went dancing in the club, took classes together (including a kick ass 2 hour kickbox class in Sacramento w/Q), went to wine country, got shitfaced drinking cocktails, played with street chalk... a perfect way to bring fu's time in SF to a close.

February 2010 | Wattle Creek Sparkling
Valentines Day Weekend
A Friday night date with G: wine tasting at Wattle Creek turned into me becoming a wine member and buying this sparkling wine. It's on the dry side, so I was hesitant to serve it during the 1st course of my long-planned-out-dinner with Adam. Which was dessert (first). Though I found myself drinking this before he even came over. You know, to take the edge off. Adam got to drink this bubbly during the blindfolded parts of my lapdance for him. And although it was on the dry side, I think it paired just fine with a little chocolate and a side of Christine. We killed the bottle over a multi-course dinner I prepared, then danced the night away at the De la Soul concert at Yoshi's. Holla!
February 2009 | Etoile Brut Sparkling Wine
A second "date" with Matt Barker. Meal gets a 6.5 on my scale - though washing down a steak and scallop (and-too-adventurous) carrot flan dinner with Domain Chandon's nicest bottle of bubbly is never a bad idea. cL was boring this evening, so the highlight was Barker watching her cook (or rather overcook) a steak. We spoke different languages tonight but I think we were on teh same page at the end of the night.
December 2008 | Bogle 2006 Petite Syrah
I first learned about this wine when Ed Oh and I were trying to kill the awkwardness of my black-and-white-semi-nude-photos. Ha! It did the trick (and we got really good photos). Later bought and opened this bottle over a dinner.. or two... or three... or four... with fu. Too many to count - can't remember which one. All same same!
February 2010 | Domaine Carneros 2006 Sparkling Wine
A birthday worth remembering - and mostly remembered by Adam. Bubbly and appetizers at the apartment followed by more bottles of bubbly with dancing at Bubble Lounge. We shared our 'favorite' stories, we drank champagne punch, and we didn't make any trouble before JB came over. Though the Patron shot killed Adam (or rather compelled him to sing his way up Colombus) it was a good 30th birthday.
September 2010 | Alto Vuelo 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon / Syrah
Opened a bottle from South America after a cold and wet (first) climb on Mount Tam. Adam and I raced up Tam – a short 12 miles on a Saturday morning since I had “won” the raffle. I was also the only entrant in the raffle. We came in last. Woohoo! And we opened this bottle over a gilled cheese and tomato soup lunch before going to sleeeeeeeeeeep for a long time.
November 2010 | Ravens Wood 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon
Adam studied for GMAT while I worked on my laptop at Peet's Coffee on Polk Street. I decided I wanted to eat pizza and drink wine for dinner so we walked to Miller's... except they didn't serve wine. So they said we coudl buy a bottle across the street and they wouldn't charge us corkage. Bought this blend at a sketchy discount food store across the street. Got retarded while eating my dinner, RAN in the frigid cold back to the car while giggling like a little girl, then gave Adam the best drunken haircut. Ever.
